Pita Maha Resort & Spa

Heaven on earth

Two weeks ago, I wanted to recharge my batteries so I decided to go to Bali. I stayed in a magnificent Ubud setting, called Pita Maha Resort & Spa, having my own private pool villa in wood and stone (200m2). Luxury appointed, it had a huge double bed, a satelite TV, a private bar, a complimentary basket with fruits and also free Wi-Fi and air-condition. Designed in Balinese style, overlooking at Tjampuhan ridge and the tropical greenery.

I admired the beauty of nature. The swimming pool was completely on my own and I had a beautiful sense of freedom.

Not to mention the open air bathroom which was furnished in Balinese artisty, in earthy textiles, with a shower and a fragrant flower bath tub filled with rose petals to soothe the senses. I felt really blessed being able to stay in such a luxury resort and connect with my inner self. Located only 5’minutes from Ubud village, at the edge of the picturesque Ayung river, I was in the jungle and at the same time far away from the crowd. I knew I was going to have my best holiday ever!

From the moment we arrived we had a special greeting with a welcome drink and a cold towel. The staff was absolutely helpful, kind, polite and smily. This elegant retreat is a heaven on earth, with tropical landscapes, awesome atmosphere and a gorgeous infinity pool overlooking the valley of Kedewatan. The best place to have a cold drink and enjoy. Blessed with uninterrupted views of tropical greenery it pays tribute to Bali’s cultural heritage.

Breakfast was served a la cart from 07.00 am until 17.00 pm for a whole day, so I didn’t have to wake up in rush to get it. It was a breakfast to die for.

Menu: Indonesian, American or Continental breakfast can be served at Terrace Restaurant or at your Private Villa.

I was offered a couple’s spa treatments in an outdoor pavillion, inspired by the Balinese healing practises to promote health in our bodies and beauty to our faces. It was awesome!  Having two hours to indulge ourselves, me and my husband spent quality time together as a couple. And then, a complimentary herbal refreshment of ginger and jasmine tea.. We left spa looking great and feeling sweetly satisfied.

Pita Maha means ‘Great Shining’ and this boutique resort deserves the travellers’ first choice, as it’s a setting that remains untouched by the passing hands of time.

Until next time

Kisses from paradise
